Some fun with another thread similar to oleanders,
Finish this sentence: "I can't believe I haven't been back to..."

The limitation to play along in the thread, is it can only be a destination you've only been to once and not one you have visited several times even if it has been awhile and and you want to go back, also not one you've visited over the last few years.

Have you ever been (have you ever been) to Electric Ladyland?
The magic carpet waits, for you.
So don't you be late
Oh, (I wanna show you), the different emotions
(I wanna run to) the sounds and motions
Electric woman waits for you and me
So it's time we take a ride,
we can cast all of your hang-ups over
the seaside.
While we fly right over the love filled sea
Look up ahead, I see the loveland, soon you'll understand.

Visited 7 years ago while expecting to return sooner at a more perfect time, say mid July. Mt Mills on the skyline.

The Kaweah Basin. The last time I was there was 1987 .... Maybe next year.

Mineral King Valley. Did a loop there in 1971 over Franklin Pass, Little Claire Lake, Soda Canyon, Columbine Lake, back over Sawtooth Pass. We went "to see it before the planned Disney resort wrecked it". Thanks to the Sierra Club, Disney was blocked and the valley added to Sequoia National Park in 1978. I remember the whole area was spectacular and would like to return. But the older I get, the more I am deterred by those steep trails and high passes ...

The High Sierra Trail and adjoining trails West past Bearpaw Meadow and South of Elizabeth Pass.

I was there on my very first backpacking trip in 2006, but in the five times I've been to Sequoia's Westside trailheads since, I've started out of Lodgepole or Wuksachi and stayed north of Alta Peak.
