Found Tent Stakes

Post by thegib »

At a lonely lake in the southern sierra I found a set of fancy stakes. Send me a sad pic of your tent held up with rocks and I'll send 'em to you.

I have found lots of stakes both fancy and not. I have found even more horseshoes (20 or more), some of which I probably shouldn't have brought home due to the antiquities acts.

49.9 years old? Trash. 50 years old? Artifact!

I'm currently using that strategy with the garage, only 45 more years and I won't have to clean it out. :derp:

You might set up a Google alert for "Lonely Lake" + "Stakes" to see if anyone posts a query for this anywhere else on the web?

I lost my crampons near Portal Lake in Sierra NF two weeks ago, and was going to do that if I couldn't find em on the way out.

(I managed to retrace my steps on the way out and they were sitting on top of a rock I'd collapsed on while dragging my tired *** up hill.)

On the Southern Tool Steel website, of the many uses for dcf, horseshoes were not mentioned!
