TR: Dinkey Creek

Post by jillsocean »

Just spent two nights (mid week) in the Dinkey Pools area. Great swimming, no mosquitos, and I wanted to let folks know that the mysterious Dinkey Creek Trail on the USFS map was recently cleared and flagged. After a short climb it is a lovely trail through forest and small meadows to the intersection with Cow Creek.

My wife and kids and I just were up there too. We would do day trips to swim in the pools of Dinkey Crk. from our cabin in Shaver. I was wondering about that trail.. does it take you to more pools?

Good to know! Can you see Dinkey Dome on that trail?
