Emigrant Wilderness - Upper/Lower Relief Valley

Post by Sillyman56 »

Does anyone know which part of Relief Valley (Upper or Lower) has better campsites and which one has better fishing? Also, right now late it the season of a low snow year, does the stream dry up in those valleys, or is it always flowing? I haven't been to this part of Emigrant yet and would love to get a sense of if it's worth spending a night in either of those parts of the valley.

Hi Sillyman56,

Use the HST search feature, there is plenty of info on that area. :)

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
