Yosemite Announces Closure Of Tioga Rd. And Glacier Point Rd.

Yosemite, Ca -- You can add Tioga Rd. and Glacier Point Rd. to the list that is now closed for the winter.

The Tioga Rd., which is a continuation of Highway 120 inside Yosemite National Park, closes every winter when heavy snowfall causes the roads to be impassable.

The same goes for Glacier Point Rd., from Badger Pass to Glacier Point. A portion will re-open again when the Badger Pass ski area opens for the season. The date is expected to be December 15th, snow permitting.

Yosemite National Park is open year round.

All park roads are subject to chain control or temporary closure due to hazardous winter driving conditions.
