Tioga Road Plowing Started

Coverage on the Tioga Road is good from the park boundary at Tioga Pass westward; however, Caltrans has started clearing the snow on the eastside of Tioga Pass. At last report they were approaching Saddlebag Lake Road.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Tioga and Glacier Point Roads Plowing Update

Tioga Road plowing operations begin on April 18, conditions permitting.There is no estimated opening date for the Tioga Road.

Glacier Point Road

Update for April 8, 2016
Start: Between Ostrander Lake and Mono Meadow trailheads
End: Sentinel Dome/Taft Point trailhead
Snow depth: 4 feet
Distance plowed: 4 miles
There is no estimated opening date for the Glacier Point Road.

Glacier point road open for bicycles only today. Usually that means they have it almost all plowed but still have cleanup and repairs to do.
