Glacier Point Road Plowing & Tioga Start Next Week

Yosemite NP:
Park road crews are busy plowing the Glacier Point Road. While they've plowed one lane most of the way to Glacier Point, there's still no estimated opening date (they still have to plow two full lanes, turnouts, Glacier Point paved trails, etc.) Tioga Road plowing begins next week.

They have to head off the snow first on Tioga, to get it to plow depth and there's charcoal involved (and avalanche control)..
Glacier Point Road

What's the progress of the Glacier Point Road? Crews have plowed to Glacier Point and are now widening out the road and parking lots. The main parking lot and point area still have about six to eight feet of snow. There is no estimated opening date but stay tuned for more updates!
Tioga Road Update 5/3

Plowing crews have reached White Wolf from the west side of the Tioga Road! They are plowing through six to eight feet of very wet snow and are progressing about a half mile most days. Advance avalanche crews are working at Olmsted Point (one of the major avalanche zones along the road). Learn more in the latest plowing update:

Plows ended one mile west of May Lake. Crews are progressing about one mile per day as they plow through snow that is 8 to 10 feet deep.
Forestry crews have begun removal of hazard trees (dead or diseased trees that might fall onto the road) between Crane Flat and White Wolf, and in the Crane Flat Campground.
