Inyo Co Road update 6/19

Inyo Co. Sheriff's Dept:

RE-OPENED ROADS:

Onion Valley Road: OPEN

Pine Creek Road: OPEN

North Lake Road: OPEN

Goodale Creek Road: from Aberdeen Resort to the Goodale Creek Campground OPEN

Seven Pines cabin community: west of Independence, road OPEN

Lower Rock Creek Road: from Pine Creek to Birchim Lane, OPEN

Newman Street: OPEN

CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES:


North Round Valley Road: north of Pine Creek Road, CLOSED due to flooding (bridge damage).

Tungsten City Road: north of Rocking K, CLOSED, due to flooding.

Dixon Lane: east of bypass bridge, CLOSED due to flood maintenance work.

Brockman Lane: between 395 and Dixon Lane, CLOSED due to flooding (runoff crossing road).

Canal Road: between Bartell and Steward Lane, CLOSED due to flooding.

Tinemaha Road (dirt road): from Fuller Road to Taboose Creek Road, CLOSED due to flooding.

McDonald Road (Alabama Hills area): north end of road, CLOSED, due to flooding.


FLOODED / USE CAUTION:

South Round Valley Road is flooded:– not currently closed - anyone requiring access to this area is advised to use extreme caution

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

So last 1/2 mile to the Kearsarge Pass/Onion Valley trailhead is now open? Here's to 1 less mile of hiking! \:D/
