Not that they prefer it, it was actually not open to the public -- folks with leases/permits could go. It's open to the public as of today.

Muir Trail Ranch website shows they are accepting reservations from July 3 so the Florence Lake store and ferry service would need to be active at least before that date. In the mean time on my upcoming TBD date backpack, I will be using the 4.5 mile trail to hike around the reservoir.

Florence Lake 2019 ferry service per their updated website apparently starts tomorrow. My gear and food is ready so just need to fill my pack and hit the road sometime next week. 10-day weather forecast looks rather consistent with sunny skies, a few clouds, and pleasant temps at 8k. Am glad I didn't pull the trigger last week so won't need to hike the 4 miles around the reservoir. That leaves an 8 mile hike with minor vertical to reach the Panorama Dome zone.

The ferry will open on June 23rd. The store will open a few days later.

Haha. Pretty funny. Thanks.

I'll blame it on senior old age degeneration of name identities. Obviously both stored at similar brain areas for P sounding "domes".
