Kaiser Pass Road Open 6/10

Post by maverick »

SNF:
Good News!!! Sierra National Forest officials are pleased to announce that Kaiser Pass Road is open for the season. Although the pass is open many recreational areas are closed due to the amount of snow that remains.

When driving to Florence and Edison lakes please use caution on the pass road as many turns are tight to negotiate and due to the accumulation of snow, visibility around corners may prove difficult.

When traveling down please give the right-of-way to those drivers/visitors who are traveling up, and please watch your speed.

For more information on open/closed recreational areas in the vicinity of Edison and Florence Lakes, contact one of our forest offices; High Sierra Ranger District @ 559-855-5355, or the Supervisors Office @ 559-297-0706. Additionally, you can check out our web page at www.fs.usda.gov/sierra.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
