My best guess is Broken Finger Peak. Anyone else's thoughts?

neither of the above guesses match the pic when viewed in Google Earth from any angle. So, I sent a message to the "contact us" page at shutterstock to see if they can answer the question. Don't hold your breath and keep looking :)

Welcome to the forum, icy!!

From shutterstock support:
Hello Russ,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, we do have access to any additional information with regard to images in our collection other than the descriptions our contributing artists pass along with the photo submission. However, I did notice that within the link you provided was this wording: "Eastern Sierra majesty snow capped peaks of California Sierra mountains near Bishop" - just in case that's helpful.

Cardinal Mountain; Taboose creek is in the canyon that you can't quite see into as it trends up toward the left. Not sure if you can actually se the summit if Cardinal in the photo.

Here's a google earth screenshot - the angle isn't quite the same but it matches up pretty well.

Paul, you are absolutely correct, recognize the topography from the months of
studying that area on Google Earth during Larry's disappearance.
