Great shots Fishmonger! I'm finally getting around to going through my summer pics. I got a Canon S100 and learning to shoot in full manual. Also playing around with some HDR.

Like that George Lake shot! Brings back great memories of our first family backpack trip with 6 month old baby into that area in 1979!

I picked up this web-cam of Half Dome this morning. It is an amazingly good photo!

Full 360 pano on Mt. Whitney. Too small here, so click on link to see it a little bigger on flickr

Approaching Mather Pass from the north late in the afternoon. I was hoping to make it to the pass before dark, but spent too much time sweating on the Golden Staircase coming up. Ended up in a camp above tree line about where the last water is available.

Glad you didn't make the pass that day, or we wouldn't have this amazing picture to look at. The contrast between the shadow and light makes the picture. The clouds add the finishing touch. A picture that is a work of art. Definitely inspirational.

Getting cabin fever so I thought I'd contribute a picture of my own. Nothing fancy, no far off location, taken off my phone. From Upper Sardine Lake looking at the Sierra Buttes around Memorial Day 2017.Image
