Instead of emailing or messaging the Admins or Mods with technical support questions or comments about the site, we prefer you check here to see if someone else has had the same difficulty or has made the same suggestion. What you're after might have already been posted and addressed here or within the FAQ. If not, please post a detailed description of the problem/suggestion and someone from the HST team will address your needs shortly. If you can't login/post and are unable to reset your password on your own, you may contact us directly.

I agree. Right now I would like to leave a "thank you" but the member I want to thank doesn't allow a PM. But, if I respond with a public post containing a simple "thank you" it would waste other readers time. Leaving no "thank you" seems impolite.
If there is an existing solution please let me know. A search was fruitless.

The choices you have is to post to the thread, PM, or thru their personal e-mail
or website if they have one. If your only choice is to post to the thread then do
so, better to voice your appreciation then to be silent.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member:http://reconn.org

I know you said something about this a while ago, but I can't seem to find it. I can certainly right-click (if I remember), but I'm guessing that most people would like a second window, rather than a replacement window.

Several people have requested this and I think I've found a solution. But the code I need to add has to go in the header file and it's currently being worked on. I'll add it to the finished product and see if it works for us without creating a conflict with links to photos, icons, etc.
I'd like to be able to use the yellow highlight function but with a "shortcode?" button much like the font color button, but just to highlight in yellow.
So, because of the strange formatting of the "reply" pages, none of the formatting buttons after "URL" work, nor can I click on any smileys. But it seems that others aren't having this problem?
Mac OS 10.9.5, Firefox 36.0.4, 1280x800 display (built-in screen on MacBook Pro 13").
Please read the thread above. The issue is likely with Firefox. We're working on it, but I suggest anyone using Firefox use an alternate browser for the time being. IE and Chrome aren't perfect but are much more functional than Firefox right now.

Wow, thanks! Yes, definitely MUCH better with Safari. Sorry if I missed what amounts to a FAQ, though I confess that I combed the "glitch" topic a couple of times, and I *still* don't see anything like "avoid firefox," but I probably just missed it. It's kind of late out here on the right coast (at least for my old eyes ...)
