Mt-Whitney Board Problems? (RESOLVED)

Post by BSquared »

Anybody else having problems accessing the "Mt-Whitney and Vicinity" BB? I haven't been able to get a response out of it for a couple of days...

They use the same forum script we use here. Maybe they're going through the upgrade?

If anybody really knows what's going on over there, I'd be happy to learn. I'm having a hard time maintaining my addiction...

The upgrade from phpBB2 to phpBB3 was nowhere near as easy as previous 2.x inter-version upgrades. The version upgrade requires a complete revamping of the database, and the php script is written quite differently. I'm still searching around in the dark for the appropriate code strings to edit for some changes I'd like to make.
I would not be surprised if the people at mt-whitney.info were struggling to implement the version upgrade (but I could be wrong). If you get in contact with the owner/admin, let them know that I'm happy to help if they want to email me.

I finally found Richard's e-mail address, and he knows there's a problem but doesn't know what it is. He sounded a little harassed, so I assume he's working on it and is just busy as the rest of us. I'll post when I learn more.

I just realized I hadn't checked over there in a while, and now it appears to be gone again, so anybody know what's going on over there this time?
