last 14 versus latest.

Post by rlown »

dunno if this was floated to the phpbb, but rather than showing up on a thread and only seeing the last entry after 14 entered, show the last 14 or 15. Sometimes I see a thread and when it "rolls over", you just see the last entry. I'm guessing some don't go back.

Just a thought,

Russ

ok, take for instance the "Early summer day hikes with low water crossings" thread. it's at 14 responses right now. when it rolls to 15, those viewing it see only that last response.

Guess I'm just asking why the code doesn't show a rolling last "14" or so.

No, I don't expect a fix of any sort.. just asking..

No problem. Just didn't understand at first what you were asking.

Not sure about a "last 15" or last few posts feature. I'll have a look on phpBB forums.

No idea if it's available in this type of forum, but others I visit have the option of changing the amount of replies a user can view at once. Eg. 15, 30, or 45 reply posts can be viewed at a single time. Not quite what rlown is requesting, but perhaps a good compromise?
