If the dried apricots have affected you your whole life, why do you eat them?

If I eat stone fruit, i.e. apples, cherries, peaches, etc. I get an itchy/scratchy sensation in the back of my throat, almost bordering on gagging.
I was told anecdotally that I was allergic to pectin. Maybe the same thing for rightstar76?

If something doesn't sit well, I don't eat it again. Like Mountain House Lasagna in meat sauce.

rightstar76 wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 7:41 pmInterestingly enough, I have the same problem with all sugary drinks...

How is it you left that pertinent fact unstated until now? It doesn't sound like an apricot allergy or a fruit allergy if a sugar solution causes the problem.

Perhaps your body is limited in its ability to break down the sugars you're consuming. Or maybe it's something else. Who knows? If I were a doctor, or if I played one on the internet, I'd recommend that you go see a doctor. A real one. Maybe two.
