LAT article on polluted National Parks

Post by CAMERONM »

"Biologists say they believe Joshua Tree and three other California national parks have exceeded their “critical load” — the amount of pollution above which harmful changes in sensitive ecosystems occur."

Los Angeles Times: https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2 ... california

The attention of the article is on "National Parks", but really the issues are the same for all of the Sierra and the deserts. I am old enough to see and feel the difference between 45 years ago and now. It really hit home about fifteen years ago when gazing outwards from the Sequoia and from Joshua Tree and realizing how much the pollution was invading the magical places I once assumed inviolable.
