TITLE: Picket Creek Pass

GENERAL OVERVIEW: This pass leads from the lower part of Kaweah Creek to the lower part of Picket Creek.

CLASS/DIFFICULTY: Class 2

LOCATION: In Sequoia National Park directly to the Southwest of Point 3372 and to the Northwest of the largest lake along Kaweah Creek below Kaweah Basin. HST Map

ELEVATION: 10,906

USGS TOPO MAP (7.5'): Mt. Kaweah

ROUTE DESCRIPTION: Both sides of this pass are straightforward. Basic talus and granite slabs/shelves that never exceed Class 2. Most of the talus is very stable and the North side is even milder with forested and grass covered slopes.
