Ram Pass

GENERAL OVERVIEW: This pass leads from Convict basin to Ram Lake.
CLASS/DIFFICULTY: Class 2
LOCATION: Inyo Nat. Forest See photo below for location, or, HST Map.
ELEVATION: 11,500ft
USGS TOPO MAP (7.5'): Bloody Mountain
ROUTE DESCRIPTION: From the south side look for a large rock outcrop that has trees on it. there you will find some ramps that will take you near the top. From there it is basic scrambling over large rocks to get to the top. I aimed for the little bump in the middle of the photo. i went down the chute just to the left of that bump (see photo). Once at the top there are about 2-3 ways down/up. Scope them out and see which one is best for you. The north side of the pass is full of talus, some of which is fairly loose.
