Subject: Wildlife Note to Cabin Owners
Hello MK Community!

We have had a slow start this season in the Mineral King with the extended spring conditions, i.e. snow and high water crossings. It is great to see everyone getting their cabins opened and exploring the area.

We have had more black bear sightings this year then last. All behavior reported has been normal at this point. Mountain lion sightings have been reported on five separate occasions, above the Ranger Station and High Bridge pre-season, two sightings on Paradise Ridge Trail and White Chief Canyon. I have asked our parks Wildlife Biologist Danny Gammons, to write a little something to remind everyone of how important it is to do our part. See attached letter to residents.

If there are any wildlife reports from cabin owners and/or guests, please be sure and stop by the ranger station to fill out a report. Thank you!
