I went over Colby Pass on the 14th August. North to South. Snow on the bottom of the North side was about 40 feet wide, but low angle. Crossed with out traction, but with trekking poles, there was no exposure. But further up the pass snow covered some of the switchbacks, meaning we had to scramble up about 150 feet of talus, with some exposure. We were comfortable with the exposure, but uncomfortable with the loose talus. In retrospect we would do it again. For reference we are risk adverse, and not climbers/mountaineers so anyone with route finding ability can do it.
I'll post a TR in the next day or two.
