Mostly in Northern CA. Stanislaus on up.

The El Dorado has updated their website, others aren’t quite as fast.

The Inyo is not one of those opening. Cancelling sh1t in October is kinda nuts too.

NF Closure Extended

Post by maverick »

Inyo NF:
This morning (9/23), we received direction from the Regional Office that the Forest closure would be extended another week for the 9 Forests that are currently closed. This includes the Inyo National Forest. We anticipate that the new extended closure orders will be signed tomorrow as the current order expires.

The Regional Office decision is based on the continued hot and dry conditions that remain in the forecast for the upcoming week and continued firefighting resources limitations.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
