Drought Effects on Eagle Lake SEKI

Post by maverick »

SEKI NP:
It's still a beautiful way to spend a day, but hikers to Eagle Lake may find it looking a little bit more like "Eagle Puddle" recently! Much of California, including all of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, is in a state of exceptional drought.
Water supplies throughout the parks are critically low. Please, be sparing with your water use in campgrounds and park facilities, make sure not to leave faucets dripping, and if you see anything leaking, report it to an employee right away!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
