Earliest time for Thousand Island

Post by jhunr »

Hello, this is my first time posting and fairly new to backpacking. My brother and I were wanting to hike to TI lake from agnew meadows preferably memorial day weekend, may 26-30. After doing a bit of research it seems as if there will be too much snow still. Would we be able to do it/enjoy it or should we wait till the end of June/July. Thanks! :)

Hi Jhunr,

Welcome to HST! Please read: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4205

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
