2020 HST Meetup 9/11-9/13

A forum to initiate member meet-up. Looking for a hiking/climbing/fishing/skiing/etc. partner, or are you planning a trip where you wouldn't mind having some company? Last minute invites can be just as fun as a well-planned group trip (sometimes even better) so don't be shy! And be sure to post a trip report to the appropriate forum when you get back.

I would love to be able to make this some day and get to meet a lot of the people on the forum. But it doesn't look like it is going to happen on these dates.. Maybe in 2021.

Sunday night Sept. 13th in Tuolumne Meadows. I am actually already off for about 2 weeks around that same time for backcountry excursions so I will see if my plan allows me to make it. I will know more later but I do want to attend 1 of these things at some point. :drinkers:

Unfortunately I can't make these dates as my brother is getting married that weekend. But it should be a great time and hope to get to meet many of you in person some day.

Going to try to make it, putting on my calendar. I will likely combine w/ hike before or after. South or North? Hmmmm.

I would love to attend any thing that ends up happening if it's rather central!

Given covid, how about next year, Humphreys Basin.. Tomahawk Lk comes to mind. Dog friendly, good fishing, not a bad approach from North Lake and a lot of stuff to look at. Just a thought. I'd say Sept 9th ish.

After a discussion with Mike (oldranger), who was hosting this years Meet-up, we have decided to cancel this years Meet-up.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Bummer. Virtual meet-up, 5 minute videos, from locations in the High Sierra? Sounds like a thread to me. ;-)
