Inyo SAR Incident 7/3 Mt. Whitney

Use this forum to stay informed on missing persons alerts, active SAR's and unfortunate hiker accidents we can all hopefully learn from. Inyo SAR Incident 7/3 Mt. Whitney

Inyo Co Sheriff's Dept:
Inyo County Sheriff's Office received notification of a hiker that was injured glissading from the Trail Crest. The hiker found refuge at the camp until H-80 arrived. She was taken to a local airport where emergency medical services was standing by.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
