Skiing Lake Tahoe!!!!

Discussion about winter adventure sports in the Sierra Nevada mountains including but not limited to; winter backpacking and camping, mountaineering, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, etc.

Skiing Lake Tahoe!!!!

Hello Everybody,
I am new to the board. I am from Boston and my buddies and I are looking to come out to Tahoe for 10 days to ski Heavenly, Squaw, and Kirkwood. We were looking at the last week in January or the first week in February. We noticed there is a big price drop off from the last week of January to the first week of February. Is there something we are missing (school vacation?? or something else)

Matt, do you mean price drop off in terms of lodging rates? I'm not sure what you mean. If you are thinking the prices drop because the snow levels do, that is not the case! There will be plenty of snow in late January/early February unless we have a very very dry winter.
