Hope for Plumas Eureka Ski Bowl

Post by hikerduane »

Looks like the environmental hoops have been hurtled thru, just need some major dollars for modernization now, like a chair lift. After Dan Gardner and his wife (as in James Gardner the actor) failed to fulfill their idea of how the ski hill should be developed while they were developing Gold Mountain, the lease or whatever had expired with the Calif. Park Service so years of work had to be done. http://www.plumasnews.com/news_story.edi?sid=4649

Great place to learn to ski and close to home. All kinds of terrain and friendly people, from the employees to fellow skiers. Local Jr. High ski teams have been beating the pants off of or giving them a run for there money the Tahoe area and Davis schools the last couple years.

The Plumas Ski Bowl is just off of 70 and 89 by Johnsville and Graeagle which is about an hour north of Truckee.
Piece of cake.
