Post by DAVELA »

Feb11-went to little lakes valley...gate closed at snopark.5 mile walk on the road with groomed hard packed snow to mosquito flat.
From MF onwards it was deep snow-2ft and put onmy snowshoes.Snow wasnt powder but not bad considering the heat wave. The valley looked awesome with all the recent snow.

Feb12-minaret vista...walked a mile or so to vista from the chairlift area.Hardpacked groomed snow on road/trail.Beautiful view from vista.

Feb10

Beautiful picture
"On this proud and beautiful mountain we have lived hours of fraternal, warm and exalting nobility. Here for a few days we have ceased to be slaves and have really been men. It is hard to return to servitude."
