Wickiup on my boat

Post by oldranger »

Another angler took this pic of me on Wickiup reservoir on Tuesday and sent it to me.

Yes, the OldRanger does look better when he's in the shade and far off.

Last year he took me out to Wickiup...on the water before sunrise.
Red skies - Trolling -
Flashers, dancers, and line counters -
electric down riggers too -
Wisps of fog dancing over reflections of volcanoes past -
Fishing for Kokes.

Nice job Mike!

the view from the boat looking toward the back of the boat is even more impressive--South Sister, over 10,000 feet and, I think either the 2nd or 3rd highest peak in Oregon.

oh I just realized ever since Mark has been in the boat fishing at Wickiup has really been slow. Coincidence?

Ok here is the view to the N.

FYI I kind of lust for that red Hewescraft in the pic, but neither Kathy or the "Other Woman" would stand for it.

Not the sportsman! Not an upgrade compared to the "Other Woman" other than being shinier. At least the Pro V but also the Sea Runner, the 21 ft version if Matt were to get stationed in the NW. Actually, if I were to buy a new boat I would carefully review boats from several different builders in addition to Hewescraft--North River, Alumaweld, Woolridge, and a couple of others. Ah but the red boat sure catches the eye!

I looked at the Pro V and the bigger boats as well. Then I remembered your tow vehicle, and thought, "If Mike buys this boat, he's going to need a bigger truck!"
