Paul, Sounds like a great time;enjoy! As far as the political climate...Sigh. I remember the exploits of Pinochet. I know an airplane mechanic from there lives here now. The stories. Sad. Santiago is the inverse latitude from Los Angeles approximately.

Exactly. And it has much the same climate as LA...even with smog!
