Article about avalanche rescues and survival

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Ok @Wandering Daisy I'm maybe over generalizing.

Not necessarily surprised@c9h13no3, just that 40-1 statement is another good reminder not to caught in an avalanche in 1st place.

I don't think I have become any more inured to dangers and risk as I age. Many comments given above I think are true. My main concern might be with internet trip reports such as what I and others offer, and GPS, the barrier of entry might seem lower to young people with lots of energy but lacking experience and training.
