Wine--definitely self promotion

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Wine--definitely self promotion

OK. This is blatant. My Great Courses lectures on wine have been released just in time for the holidays. Drink up! '

Paul?!

There is nothing whatsoever in these courses about developing fine dehydrated wine for us. WTH? ;) Ian

Yes, well, that's a problem. There is now dehydrated alcohol. But it's better used for cocktails than wine. And it's not all that light to begin with.

My recommendation is to grab a couple of those plastic wine bottles the airlines use, and refill them with the vintage of your choice...assuming that you're not hiking for fourteen days with a 65 lb pack. In that case, leave the wine at home!

Some box wines are legitimately good---but not the so much the ones on the bottom shelf of the supermarket priced by the gallon.

I wrote a trip report and it said I did not have enough characters
What is that supposed to mean.
PLEASE no one write - too many characters, just like it says. I would not write that if I were a dumb 10 year old.
