Here is a new wrinkle- transparent wood

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Thanks for posting. I love this line from the article: "with all of these potential benefits for manufacturing, consumers and the environment, the case for transparent wood couldn’t be clearer." :lol:
