Google Earth question
I cannot find the image dates on the current Google Earth (the free general version). Any ideas how to get this? Also, bad current image for the high Sierra - all the higher altitudes are snow covered, not very useful. I hope it changes soon.

Re: Google Earth question
Do you have GE pro (its free) What area are you looking for? the View Imagery works for picking a date. Remember it isn't Realtime data, but you can just choose the date on the bottom left bar and then pick a date. It is the historical imagery button on the left bottom of the screen.

Re: Google Earth question
I use the button at the top that looks like a clock. Clicking that opens a sub-menu that allows you to step back in time to find a date that has less snow cover.
