Mystery set in the High Sierra

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Got a great review today!

SASHA PAULSEN, Napa Register

"Danger: Falling Rocks," clever and captivating, is greatly enriched by the setting Wagner creates in meticulous detail. He pulls readers along on a trail through the mountains, keenly observing a world in which the greatest threat, of course, is humans...

An excellent excursion for armchair mountaineers, "Danger: Falling Rocks," could also inspire one to dust off the old backpack and head for the hills....

I just finished Danger, Falling Rocks. A very enjoyable read. Balzaccom has woven many of the things we experience as backpackers into his story. I found myself relishing and identifying with many of the small details that people on this forum will "get". I look forward to the next book in the series.

Nice job P!

To become a novelist, did you have to curtail the wine drinking? ... or is that why "I have another two in the works, but they are far from finished..."

And why would someone quit their job as a professional wine drinker to work so hard at a computer? :)

That's so cool. Looks like a great read in the backcountry! A kindle/e-book version would be even better!

The two are not mutually exclusive. I write in the afternoon....and drink wine at dinner!
