TR: Second annual HST citizen search for Matthew Greene

Use this forum to stay informed on missing persons alerts, active SAR's and unfortunate hiker accidents we can all hopefully learn from. Any information you may have on a missing person, including first hand weather related information or any other insight (however little) may prove to be critical information to Law Enforcement / SAR in locating the person in question.

I might not be modest about my abilities, but if you think a couple of older folks can help in any way, then we're in!
Definitely, you would bring years of experience, our search is not about speed, but rather being thorough which doesn't mix with speed (oil & water).
Also age brings a level headedness, and an awareness of ego checking, which is very important during high levels of stress. My number one priority in our searches, is to do what I can to insure that everyone gets out uninjured, and rest assured, no one is asked to do anything outside of their comfort levels.
Looking forward to seeing you again, and meeting your hubby. ;)

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Thanks for your beautiful photos and thoughtful narrative. Im sure the family of Mathew Greene is very appreciative of your efforts to help find some closure. BTW, the outlet of Iceberg Lake is one of my favourite spots around the Minarets and your photos took me right back there.
