Site Issues

Instead of emailing or messaging the Admins or Mods with technical support questions or comments about the site, we prefer you check here to see if someone else has had the same difficulty or has made the same suggestion. What you're after might have already been posted and addressed here or within the FAQ. If not, please post a detailed description of the problem/suggestion and someone from the HST team will address your needs shortly. If you can't login/post and are unable to reset your password on your own, you may contact us directly.

Site Issues

Post by ERIC »

Sorry for the issues lately, folks. I've restored what I could of the forums but realize there are glitches. Fortunately, i don't believe the database of posts has been affected. We'll work to correct the glitches as they come up. Any serious errors, please post details here.

Thank you for your patience.

Not sure if this is the place, but I think there is a rogue post in the Cross Country Pass forum. I did not click on it. If we click on a bad item, can that infect the site with malwear?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

To alert the admins to spam, you open the post, and press the "!" button near the edit window. You have to be logged in first. This puts a message to all admin/mods to do something about the post. This current one has been reported. Given our number one spam deletion guy is working in Tuolumne, the posts hang around awhile until someone with delete capability logs in.

If you're referring to the mobile version (which is the topic of this thread), then we're aware of the issue. The computer version has the "!" (top right of the post windows, left of the poster's profile area in each post) as near as I can tell. If you're not seeing it there, let us know.
