Hey Jim, You appear to be "pretty happy" with exposure. What is that rock you've got your hand on? Looks very much like a grippy, but abrasive rock we found in the Mojave once, and we called it something between limestone and marble?? Were you out "geologizing?" Cheers.

I was climbing up out of a wash in Death Valley on an approach to Stewart Pt. I believe it's mostly dolomite limestone. I think the wash is Resting Spring.
