Sierra Nevada BC's "Enjoy Outdoors"

Post by giantbrookie »

As a longtime fan of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., I've always liked their labels and banners. The labels are of the sort to make you thirsty. Yet, historically, they've been very stylized and not based on actual places we know. Their recent "Enjoy Outdoors" banner is different. It is very much a scene from our beloved High Sierra and I think many of you have hiked here and viewed the same scene. Cheers, GB

It'd be great if they start making or distributing their Porter again. Can't find it, and I might have to make my own.

Haven't they used that LLV scene for a long time?

I was also really upset when I learned that this beer is actually made in Chico. I assumed they had a secret plant in one of the abandoned mines on the east side : /

Russ -
the Sierra Nevada BC website has a “beer locator” feature that might help you. It doesn’t work well if you’re zoomed out too far, but I found this (it’s worth a call to check, if it isn’t too far for you :drinkers: )

They still make Porter as one of their regular brew, as seen on their website and Grampy's post. I do this (beer locator) for the coveted Estate Harvest which is not so easy to get a hold of and is my favorite (meaning it is to my tastes the finest) commercially brewed beer I've had (De Ranke's XX Bitter runs very very close, though), an opinion shared by many, including some pros I know.
