Weird, did someone spray DDT in Palisade basin (re: Cinnamongirl's post)? Anyway, looks like the bugs will own large swaths of the Sierras for the rest of the month....but, the wildflowers should be hitting full stride, too! Keep the updates coming.

No. there was still too much snow in Palisade Basin. only grass we encountered was near Knapsack Pass. the Barrett Lakes were still pretty frozen. mosquito's cannot fly with down parkas on!

OK, snow sounds much better than DDT. If you have photos, or a link, or a trip report, please torment those of us who are only semi-longing to fend off the voracious hoards of parka-clad mosquitos.
Thanks,

Hi CinnamonGirl

Please post pic's with a TR next time, it is really helpful and informative to all of us
planning trips out in the near future to this area or others at similiar elevations, not to
mention the wonderful pic's of Dusy and Barrett Lakes you posted.
It is allways great to see places you've visited many times before at a different time of
year. Thanks again.

Think they are getting worse or better as time goes on?
