Backcountry Bouldering

Post by Mradford »

With all the videos and posts i have seen on Colorado back country bouldering i was wondering if people have had the luxury of backpacking to a remote area in the sierras and then finding out there is decent bouldering there?
I have seen that there are some sweet boulders by The Incredible Hulk.

Just thought it would be interesting to hear what people have discovered, not trying to give away any secretive bouldering spots.

Though I am not a climber, I have always thought the area in the photo would be good climbing -

This is between Franklin Pass and Rattlesnake Creek in SEKI.

I remember my first impression was feeling like I was in a very high elevation version of Joshua Tree.

Don't kick the mushrooms.
