Tea Time

Post by maverick »

I know we have a bunch of coffee drinkers here, but how about tea drinkers?
What kind (green, black) and make (Lipton, Tazo)? Any green tea aficionados?
Add any sugar, honey, lemon, or milk/creamer(Dutch or British style)?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Loose leaf teas...never sweetened.

China teas mostly. Love a good Keemum. I drink Puerh daily every morning. Love green teas, esp. Jasmine. A good Assam is always a good pick me up.

Love iced teas too.

I also drink Coffee daily.

Loose leaf teas in paper tea filters. Our local co-op sells a great Keemun in bulk at a really low price. Peet's sells a number of very good loose leaf teas in tins.

Question: Do you leave the tea bag out at night to dry and if so do you ever find that an animal has nibbled on it? My theory is that nocturnal animals hate tea. They're up all night and crave coffee instead.

I don't drink coffee but love tea, I really like Yamamoto green tea with roasted brown rice. Or plain old black tea. At night I like a good cup of camomile.
I'm no suture for my future.

I was thinking of taking this on my upcoming outing:

But, I guess paper filters could work also.

There is something to the earthiness of tea that mates so naturally with being in nature.

Great topic! I prefer mate. Loose leaf. Used to take a metal filter straw. When I ordered some Oregon yerba mate performance blend they included a cool plastic filter straw. I bring jasmine green tea also

We drink lots of tea, three times a day, no coffee. We usually take plain black Ceylon tea. It's such a treat after making a pass to boil water and make a tea. Sometimes I add a little freeze-dried raspberries to the tea, and it smells and taste wonderful.
