Anyone have/use this jacket? It looks to be pretty new so I wasn't able to find a lot of info about it yet. I think it's the replacement for the Neutrino Endurance. I'm in the market for a new parka after I accidentally left my last one on a plane... expensive mistake! :crybaby:

I have the Neutrino Endurance - it is one toasty parka. Picked it up to take in the winter on snowmobiling excursions and snow overnights. Rab makes good gear.

The Neutrino Pro is new this season so you’re not likely to find reviews anytime soon. I can’t speak for that specific jacket, but I can vouch for the brand. I have the alpha direct jacket, Calibre pants (discontinued), and Positron parka. All have served me well on winter overnights in the Sierra. The primary update to the new “Pro” version of the Neutrino is the use of Pertex Quantum Pro rather than the discontinued Endurance fabric. The new Pro fabric is an update that has more wind and water resistance than Pertex Quantum but may sacrifice some breathability, it was hard to tell about breathability differences from their product information (https://www.pertex.com/catalogue/quantum/).

I pieced a bit of information together from one of my favorite sites (https://www.outdoorgearlab.com).
—They have an old review of the Neutrino Endurance: “This jacket finds its best performance in applications where weight, warmth and weather resistance are critical, such as alpine climbs and backcountry ski tours.”
—They also have a review of the Rab Microlight Alpine (which uses Quantum) which got rave reviews for weather resistance: “This jacket combines NikWax treated hydrophobic down with Pertex Quantum Microlight face fabric and a solid DWR coating to provide what is in our opinion the best water resistance that we have found in a down jacket.”

The bottom line is that the Rab products are excellent, the parkas are super warm, the latest version should have excellent weather resistant.
