Question about Mount Lyell

Hi --
I'm headed to Mount Lyell soon, approaching from the Lyell-Maclure Col. My plan is to continue on to Electra Peak. Has anyone descended Lyell off the east ridge, then headed south toward lake 11,311? If so, any beta to share?
