I am prone to having inane lyrics get stuck in my head, so now I often listen to instrumental music, including some favorite classical pieces. This is my current favorite by Franz Lizst:

It's a nice video of an old Vladimir Horowitz in concert. What a brilliant pianist!

Nice piece there Ian. In the nineties, I didn't like where rock was going, so I moved to smooth jazz and classical. Playing a classical guitar made it an easy transition because I appreciated harmonic intricacies and sophisticated chord progressions. I will, however, never lose my roots in rock of the 60's and 70's.
My favorite rock guitarist going back to his roots.

Hi Jim, I think I know your feeling for the Rock of the 60's - 70's. I too can't get past it. Is this the kind of Classical guitar from the 60's you are into?
After enjoying the Horowitz piece, I naturally found this favorite from Woodstock. I love playing one after the other because of the contrast, but also because both "groups" are so passionate in their own way for the Music. Can you dig it Jimr?

I can dig it. Love Carlos. See the addition to my prior post. "classical" refers to the 1600 and 1700 European classical music.
