General condition advice / Evolution Loop

Post by pawelrc »

Hi Everyone,

We live on the east coast and would like to come over to ski tour Evolution Loop or something of similar character. We were planning on mid-April. Can anyone give advice on snow conditions? From other posts, its seems that snow levels are low this year, so would that mid-April sensible for Evolution?

Any advice most welcome!

Mid- April is usually the start of the corn snow season. This is so far a low snow year, so early is probably good - although you can't tell about the weather.

Hi

I spend my winters in the Sierra backcountry, I may be able to help. What "loop" are you actually referring to?
