Pop-up ad
I often get a pop-up ad that I have to "x" out of when I click on a post in the index page. Is that normal? It just started to happen a week ago or so.

Re: Pop-up ad
Once you click on the "Beefcakes of the Sierra" porn site, the pop-ups are just relentless.

Re: Pop-up ad
I still swear by adblock. The main HST page doesn't like it, but the community index page works just fine.
Works even better on news feeds, Walmart, Lowes, etc where I don't want the ads.

Mine just started doing that also.
Time to find another forum, I guess.

Re: Pop-up ad
Thankfully, no pop ups for me, and I don't use any special ad blocking software. I'm using safari on a Mac....don't know it that's the difference or not.

Next time you see an ad pop up, copy the URL for Eric and Greg.

I'll let Eric chime in here when he get's a chance, as I'm betting he added this at some point. I've seen it as well - a bit annoying but I do not believe it is worth being suspicious about. Gotta pay the bills

Re: Pop-up ad
The small annoyance is not the issue with me. OK if you need it for HST to work. I was just worried that it could be a hacker and put a virus on my computer. If it is an approved of ad, I may even click on it if it is for something I am interested in. Thanks for clearifying this.

Re: Pop-up ad
I spoke too soon. I got my first pop up today. Can I be a member of the club now
Actually, it's not that annoying. Most other sites I'm a member of have pop ups, so I'm used to "Xing" them out.
