Climbed Tucki Mountain in Death Valley last Saturday. This hike was mostly XC expect the first mile which was on a dirt road. Finshed the hike with a couple of hours of daylight left, so I checked out the Tucki Mine before heading home. Photos at

We were going to do Tucki a few weeks ago, but something came up and Calhiker couldn't make it. Looks like a nice hike, and that hill looks like a fun drive! Now that I've had a taste of mining sites, I can't wait to see the Journigan & Martin Cabins!

This hike was easy for a XC hike. Did the round trip in just under six hours with half hour on top, and I'm a slow hiker. Marked some waypoints on the GPS and was glad I did . Couldn't even figure out which peak it was till I got close. Used route "B" on the DPS Peak Guide and got confused by the directions :retard: . Was easy following the GPS.
