This morning, H-82 responded with Inyo County Search and Rescue to the call of an injured hiker. This person had sustained traumatic injuries related to a fall and altitude sickness.
H-82 landed at Trail Camp (12’000’), a final staging area for hikers preparing to summit, and contacted the injured hiker. The person was transported from the scene and transferred to an ambulance waiting at a nearby airport.
**Reminder: If you don’t have proper snow and ice traversing experience, avoid steep and snowy slopes. They’re inherently dangerous. The Eastern Sierras is still experiencing full snow coverage above 10,000’. Stay together, turn around should the need arise, take ownership of your own safety, and prepare and train.**

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
